What information will customs ask for?

Updated 2 hours ago

Customs authorities may request additional documentation to confirm the contents and value of your parcel.

Typical requests include (but not limited to):

Proof of purchase such as a receipt or invoice.

Clarification of the item description including materials and intended use.

Recipient identification such as a national ID, tax number or passport copy.

Confirmation of value if the declared value appears unclear or incorrect.

Import permits for controlled goods.

It is important to note that the couriers work hand in hand with customs directly. As customs is a government agency, they have the right to request any information they deem necessary in order to clear a shipment

The receiver must provide any requested information directly to the courier or their customs team..
